In my flat I have two rooms, each of which requires a switch (Switch 1 and 2). These two are in turn connected to Switch 3. Switch 3 is connected to the router (Fritz!Box 6690 or 4060 with external modem). Switch 3 is smartmanaged (goal: network status information, various setting options, link aggr. for NAS). Do Switch 1 and 2 also have to be smartmanaged to have the desired functionalities over the entire network, or can they be unmanaged because Switch 3 is already smartmanaged? In other words, does Switch 3 see what is happening in the network areas of Switch 1 and 2? (Switch 1: TP-LINK TL-SG108PE, Switch 2: TP-Link TL-SG108E, Switch 3: TP-Link TL-SG105E).

Only the switch that uses the NAS with link aggregation should be smart. The link aggregation acceleration is not 2 x Gbit (instead of 1 x 1Gbit) but two devices can access the NAS simultaneously with 1 Gbit /s.
