Hi; you have an HDMI or display port and can choose to display one (wide) screen or two "normal" formats side by side. I can't say anything about the Mac, but I don't expect any problems. I use it as a single screen where I can park windows. I often work with 6-8 windows at the same time. Note that the screen takes up a considerable amount of space, both in width and depth.
