Is it really the case that OnePlus has missed the opportunity to show a number for new messages in the settings? For example, for a new WhatsApp a 1 on the app and it only works with the Android point? That can't be... So you hardly see new messages. Or has someone managed to change that? With Huawei, Samsung, etc. it works without any problems...

That is indeed the case. Android does not have this by default. The reason for this is apparently that the notification badge is protected by Apple's number. The other manufacturers are probably just getting involved in the power struggle with Apple.

This is due to the (default) launcher, which apparently does not offer this option. Simply install another launcher and that's it👌.
