Is the monitor suitable for PC and PS4, possibly PS4pro ? On the PC it would be office applications and games. Or would a 16:9 format be preferable for the PS4.

Absolutely suitable for PC. The higher resolution requires a little more computing power for games. You can also connect the PS4, but it is possible that you will have a black bar on the side with some applications/games.
