Is the range sufficient up to the first floor? I already have a USB wifi at the location, but it has external antennas on extended antenna cables but no 802.11ac. Is the antenna good enough with this one?

If you don't have the fattest concrete ceilings, the range should be sufficient, although with USB antennas I can well imagine that you will receive something, but the connection quality will not be OK.

What are you using as an access point?
