Is the SSD suitable for long-term archiving ? or does the SSD lose all data after a longer period without power.

That's the nature of SSDs, they need a voltage refresh from time to time. In the best case, a life span of 10 years can be assumed - but I wouldn't rely too heavily on that.
The best choice for archiving is the well-known HDD, where it is best to store two disks with the same data.

We are happy to help you. Data that has been stored on the Samsung SSD T7 Touch will not be affected or deleted due to prolonged inactivity. A constant power supply is therefore not necessary.
