Question about Fairphone 5

Is there a reason why the warranty for the FP5 says 24 months and for the FP4 5 years? Does that mean that the warranty no longer runs through digitec after 24 months and you have to send the device directly to Fairphone? Or what is going on there?

The first 2 years are handled by digitec (legally prescribed warranty period). The extension for a further 3 years is offered directly by Fairphone. To do this, you have to register your device with Fairphone and then receive confirmation of the warranty period. This was already the case with the FP4.

I can only agree with holdii's answer. I have also extended my warranty in the same way
