Is this microphone compatible with recording software? I use audacity software, via which I import a melody on which I record lyrics. However, my current microphone is getting old and I am looking for a cheap one to record my lyrics on the imported music. Is this microphone usable in this case?

This mic is indeed PC compatible but the use of a sound card with a good pre-amp is highly recommended. Secondly, I do not recommend this type of microphone for singing or musical use. I would recommend a condenser mic like the Rode NT1 or NT-USB if you don't have an audio interface.
