It provides its own access point. Is it possible to set it up so that it is transparent, similar to a WLAN repeater?

The TL-WPA4220 kit is a separate access point and cannot be set up directly as a Wi-Fi repeater to be transparent. However, it offers a function called "Wi-Fi Clone", which copies the SSID and password of the main network to enable a seamless connection. While this function helps with setup, it will always show a separate network as most devices do not automatically switch between networks.
To use it as an access point, it must be connected to the router via an Ethernet cable, which allows the signal to be amplified in a different area.

Wifi-clone is a quick setup function similar to WPS (+ button on Swisscom internet box) in bad, with a bunch of problems. It had another corresponding function, which is why I bought it, but that has long since been patched out, the device is also a good 10 years old. It's also the cheapest in the range, so I'm not complaining that it only manages just under 20 MB/ at best and needs a reboot every week, and both are always close to overheating.
