Yes, you can switch off the microphone. The microphone can be switched off in the "Logi Capture" software supplied.
You can also switch it off completely in the Windows 10 device manager.
Device Manager -> Audio Inputs and Outputs -> Microphone (Logitech BRIO) -> Deactivate device.
