The technical data states that the iPad is NFC-capable. However, Apple does not include this function. I'm not sure now, as I need a tablet (preferably an iPad) with an integrated NFC reader.

According to my research, it does not have an integrated NFC reader. Only the iPhone or the Apple Watch have this.
