Why is this device so huge? btw: Why are many smartphones so huge? i find it extremely impractical. it almost reminds me a little of the beginnings of the first mobile phones, which were also huge blocks.

Helpful answer

Huge is relative. I had a Nokia 8.1 before (on which I destroyed the display) and it had pretty similar dimensions. And I manage quite well with it
Especially with the Fairphone, part of the size is of course due to the repairability. Since that's why I chose it, I'm happy to accept a slightly chunkier phone. And after a short period of getting used to it, it feels quite normal.
