What determines if I will suffer from the exclusion of the voLTE and wifi calling on the EU edition? My service provider is Swisscom if that's relevant at all.

Dear Mateo, I have worked with computers since 1968 as an electrical engineer with a university degree, but your question is extremely specific. voLET seems to be a protocol for high resolution sound transmission, go and investigate this first in Wikipedia. I don’t know what a EU edition is. I read that not all but many service providers transmit regarding the voLET protocol therefore giving you an extremely high audio quality. But you can be sure that for all daily applications, systems not supporting voLET will be sufficient and you might not even discern the difference.

It depends on your habits. If you use it every day, it would be uncomfortable, but if you don't, you may see no differences.
