What kind of HDD is under the housing? What are the read and write speeds?

Unfortunately, I can't tell you what kind of HDD is under the casing. You can't simply open the case. I got write rates of between 80 MB/s and 90 MB/s on a USB 3.0 port. Other buyers came up with similar values.
