When I bought it, it was class A, as are many other screens that are suddenly marked class G on Digitec. Is this a mistake or is there another explanation?

This is unfortunately not a mistake. The classification criteria have been updated to reflect technological progress: a product that was A++ in 2020 will be classified B or C in 2021; an A++ will probably be classified D or E; the least efficient, former A+, will be at the bottom of the scale with a class F or G.
