This sounds like a faulty fan control. A BIOS update could help. This can be downloaded from the homepage, including information on how to carry it out. Important: Do not switch off the PC during the BIOS update.
If the BIOS update does not help, replace the card (if still possible).
By the way: Maybe it's a misunderstanding, but I wonder what the MSI afterburner is supposed to do with a Gigabyte graphics card?
