Foreword

The great response to the first part of my Free Body columns prompted me to publish the columns that appeared in the Ostsee-Zeitung from mid-2014 to mid-2015 as a second book. Each volume is a standalone work that combines older and new nude photographs, showcasing 50 years of my career as a nude photographer. The genre of nudes has evolved just like the entire field of photography. This is especially true for the technology, which today floods the market in countless variations from the camera industry. Digital photography has motivated millions of camera buyers to feel like photographers, and advertising reinforces their belief that the technology of their camera does the rest. This may be the case in any random genre, but good photography should convey more than just a technically accomplished image.
