Brochure Edition
Bilingual Children's Book (German-Ukrainian) for ages 3 and up

Hello, I am Bakabu. I am a catchy tune and I live in Singeland in the small village of Hornhausen. I love nothing more than music. However, music often brings along quite exciting adventures.

In the new adventure "Bakabu and the Fire Volcano," Hornhausen is threatened by a dangerous volcano. Bakabu and his friends must leave. They quickly pack the essentials and embark on an adventurous journey across the Pacific Ocean. After a long trip, they arrive on an unknown island, where they are greeted by strange creatures. But soon they discover something they all have in common: music. And it also helps against the bad dreams that haunt Bakabu and his friends.

The book is specifically aimed at refugee children from Ukraine. It was developed in collaboration with a psychotherapist and is presented in a bilingual German-Ukrainian format. The story aims to show children that it is normal to feel afraid, that others feel the same way, and what can help to make things better again. There are two new Bakabu songs that can be downloaded via QR code in both German and Ukrainian. The audiobook version of the entire story is also available in German and Ukrainian through a QR code.

Bakabu is an established character in kindergarten, preschool, and elementary school settings. Therefore, the book on the topic of flight is an ideal support for professionals to discuss this subject with children and help alleviate their fears.
