The reclusive music professor Wilhelmina Brewster has played it safe her entire life. Risk, adventure, and spontaneity are foreign concepts to her. But then she meets the life-hungry and adventurous pilot Mike Dolan. Initially, she just wants to hand him a pious flyer and retreat back into her orderly life. However, things take a different turn: suddenly, Wilhelmina finds herself in a hot air balloon competition, goes fishing with Mike, and embraces all sorts of other crazy ideas he proposes.
