Portuguese is becoming increasingly important at universities and adult education centers. As the first Portuguese textbook for European Portuguese, the one-volume book 'Está bem' takes into account the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and can be used in adult education centers and university seminars, as well as for self-study. In 25 lessons, which lead to language proficiency at level B2 through a swift progression, the newly introduced vocabulary is presented through dialogues and authentic texts, while grammatical phenomena are systematically explained and accompanied by a wide range of varied exercises. The textbook conveys a current, situationally oriented vocabulary that also considers the peculiarities of Brazilian Portuguese and specifically points out common pitfalls for German-speaking learners. The program places particular emphasis on the sociocultural reality of the Lusophone world. Partially authentic factual texts illuminate social and historical aspects and provide a nuanced knowledge of the country. An integrated vocabulary list and a comprehensive directory of verb forms are included. An audio CD and a solution booklet with integrated brief grammar are available for the textbook. As the first of the available textbooks on the market, this book takes into account the Portuguese spelling reform of 2010.
