Munich 1898: Lulu, Elsa, and Fanny couldn't be more different, yet one thing unites these three young women: they want to become doctors. Lulu's father, the director of the Hauner Children's Hospital, would prefer to marry his daughter off to someone of suitable status. To prevent this, Lulu allies herself with aspiring novice Elsa and the sharp-witted Fanny. Together, they plan to rebel against the conservative statutes.
