Munich 1898: Lulu, Elsa, and Fanny couldn't be more different, yet one thing unites the three young women: they want to become doctors. Lulu's father, the director of the Hauner Children's Hospital, prefers to marry his daughter off to a suitable match. To prevent this, Lulu allies herself with aspiring novice Elsa and the quick-witted Fanny. Together, they plan to rebel against the conservative statutes.
