It primarily focuses on simple home cooking based on modern principles. It has been shown that one can only achieve skill in cooking, baking, and preserving if one recognizes the principles that govern the combination of ingredients and the preparation of dishes, and adheres to the resulting rules. Most cooking and baking recipes can be categorized into relevant groups. This leads to basic quantities and fundamental recipes. These can be modified through various seasonings, fillings, or shapes, as well as through meaningfully used substitutes. This allows for independent embellishment.
