Product details

The largest editorial project in the history of the publishing house is nearing completion. In 1949, the first book by Heinrich Böll was published, who would go on to shape German post-war literature for nearly four decades and find a place in world literature. In 2002, the first volume of the Cologne edition of Heinrich Böll's works, which is planned to consist of 27 volumes and is critically reviewed and annotated, was released. This edition follows his program of "continuation" and presents his work in a genre-crossing chronological arrangement. The editors of the Cologne edition are internationally renowned Germanists and Böll researchers, who are timely releasing the eighth volume, which includes the last two volumes of texts by Böll as well as the first of three interview volumes. Volume 20, edited by Jochen Schubert, covers the years 1977-1979, coinciding with the period of the German Autumn. Central position statements such as "What is left today?" and "A century is being reviewed" can be found in it, as well as the story "You go to Heidelberg too often." All volumes of the Cologne edition.
