The largest editorial project in the history of the publishing house is nearing completion.

In 1949, the first book by Heinrich Böll was published, marking the beginning of his influence on German post-war literature, which would last for nearly four decades and earn a place in world literature. In 2002, the first volume of the Cologne edition of Heinrich Böll's works was released, a critically reviewed and annotated collection planned to consist of 27 volumes. This edition follows his program of "continuation" and presents his work in a genre-crossing chronological arrangement. The editors of the Cologne edition are internationally renowned Germanists and Böll scholars, who are now presenting the eighth volume on schedule, which includes the last two volumes of Böll's texts as well as the first of three interview volumes. Volume 24, edited by J.H. Reid, offers a comprehensive selection of the most important interviews from 1949 to 1966.
