Usage Tips for Medicinal Plants

Summary:
Maria Treben has earned her place in history as one of the most important pioneers of herbal medicine. Many revered her like a saint. In fact, she was a woman who dedicated her life to medicinal herbs and wanted to share her experiences with as many people as possible. Over the years, her popularity and the relevance of her works have never waned. Today, her books are experiencing renewed and enduring relevance due to the advancing application of alternative medicine. In her main work "Health from the Pharmacy of God," 31 medicinal herbs are described in detail, including their healing powers and applications as tea, tincture, poultice, bath, or fresh juice.

About the Author:
The herbalist from Saaz in the former Sudetenland (born 1907) showed an interest in nature from a young age and was supported by her mother, a follower of Kneipp therapy. Through her interactions with the rural population, reading old herbal books, and eventually meeting biologist Richard Willfort in the 1960s, her knowledge of medicinal herbs reached a level of quality that garnered significant attention. In 1971, she gave her first lecture on medicinal herbs to spa guests in Bad Mühllacken. Pastor Rauscher encouraged her to create a manuscript, leading to the publication of the first folder titled "Health from the Pharmacy of God" in 1976. This laid the foundation for her fame. Maria Treben passed away on July 26, 1991.
