Kanji are characters of Chinese origin that are essential for forming nouns, verbs, and adjectives. Japanese teacher Tomomi Uchimura-Staiger presents 200 Kanji in this two-volume textbook in a clearly structured manner, sorted by increasing difficulty. This includes the corresponding radicals and guidance on how to correctly write the characters. One of the unique features is that the Japanese learner learns both the Kun and On readings, meaning they understand the Kanji in their original meanings and how they can combine with other characters to form new words.
