In Africa, our old shoes begin a new life. Alongside commercial clothing collectors, sorters, and intermediaries, thousands of street vendors in Africa make a living selling used clothes and shoes. They need to know which shoes are currently in fashion on the streets, the different types of customers, and the various styles of shoes that are in demand, as well as when and where these customers are most likely to be found, how to approach them effectively, and what prices they are willing to pay.
