Experiences of racism among children and adolescents demand a response from educational professionals and social work. From the perspective of those affected, the author analyzes what attitudes, reflections, and knowledge are essential for professionals to recognize racism and consider empowerment. Competence in empowerment-oriented action, dealing with differences, the effects of experiences of racism, and how to confront discrimination are presented in a practical manner and linked with implementation examples.
