Hilde Domin, along with Rose Ausländer and Nelly Sachs, is one of the most significant female poets of the post-war period. Forced into exile by the Nazis, she found her home in words. Her poetry speaks of the courageous resistance to the renewal of what has been lost. For the first time, this volume presents all of Hilde Domin's poems in the chronological order of their individual publications, supplemented by scattered published poems and poems from her estate. An editorial appendix and an afterword by Ruth Klüger complete this new edition.
