The two-volume textbook covers all fundamental verbal and nominal forms, conjugation and declension patterns, as well as the most important sentence structures relevant for effective and successful communication in everyday life. It provides a basic vocabulary of approximately 2500 lexical units, which allows for the understanding of 80% of common texts and the handling of typical everyday communication situations. The program is explicitly aimed at non-Slavists as well. The goal is to communicate as quickly and confidently as possible and to master everyday situations in the Czech Republic. The grammar is explained entirely in German, as are the introductions to exercises and texts. At the end of each lesson, there is a key for the exercises. Language and grammar are conveyed through a continuous storyline featuring recurring characters.
