The two-volume textbook covers all fundamental verbal and nominal forms, conjugation and declension patterns, as well as the most important sentence structures relevant for effective communication in everyday life. It provides a basic vocabulary of approximately 2500 lexical units, enabling learners to understand 80% of common texts and handle typical communication situations with ease. The program is explicitly aimed at non-Slavists as well. The goal is to communicate quickly and confidently and to navigate everyday situations in the Czech Republic. The grammar is explained entirely in German, as are the introductions to exercises and texts. At the end of each lesson, there is an answer key for the exercises. Language and grammar are taught through a continuous narrative featuring recurring characters.
