The Importance of Being Earnest and Other Plays
A universal favorite, The Importance of Being Earnest showcases Oscar Wilde's theatrical genius in its brilliant form. Subtitled "A Trivial Comedy for Serious People," this humorous assault on Victorian manners and morals is a reversal of a pompous world, leading double standards to happiness and elevating the retort to the highest art form. This special collection also includes Wilde's first comedic success, Lady Windermere's Fan, and his rich, sensual melodrama, Salomé.
