Zebra's direct thermal labels are available in paper or plastic formats. Paper offers a way to print in a variety of general applications, while plastic provides more durable, resilient results with resistance to abrasion, moisture and chemicals.

Direct thermal technology does not require a ribbon. Instead, a chemically coated, heat-sensitive material creates images when heat is applied to the surface. This technology is ideal for indoor applications where temperatures do not exceed high levels.

These labels offer excellent performance in cold temperatures and adhere to a variety of surfaces. They have a temperature-independent, permanent adhesive and a high-quality, smooth, bright white surface. The heat-sensitive surface coating increases the battery life of Zebra's mobile printers and maximises the life of the print head.
