1. Ennsthaler Traumfänger und indianisch inspirierter Schmuck

The dream catcher originates from ancient Native American traditions and, according to legend, is hung above a child's sleeping place. The bad dreams get caught in the web, while the good ones reach the child through the hole. Regardless of whether one believes in the legend or not, both children and adults can enjoy a beautiful dream catcher. The book describes how to create your own dream catchers in various styles, painted or natural, with or without beads, adorned with feathers of all kinds. With leather, beads, and feathers, you can also make jewelry inspired by Native Americans - hair clips, earrings, brooches, bracelets, and necklaces. Drawings provide step-by-step instructions, and high-quality photos showcase many examples of beautiful dream catchers and interesting jewelry.

5. Ennsthaler Kleine Welt zwischen zwei Kriegen

"Small World Between Two Wars" is a commented diary that documents the experiences of Franz Schimpl, a shoemaker's apprentice from Kirchham. In the 1930s, Schimpl embarks on a journey through Austria and parts of Germany to learn about the world around him. Equipped with a border pass, he visits three hundred places, where he is often warmly welcomed, while in other situations he has to share his space with livestock. These authentic narratives provide a unique insight into the life and challenges of a simple craftsman during a turbulent time. The book is complemented by a contribution from Heini Staudinger, who had the opportunity to travel the "big world" forty years later. The combination of personal experiences and historical contexts makes this work a valuable read for those interested in history, language, and literature.

8. Ennsthaler Dirty little secret - Die Akte Aluminium

We live in the age of aluminum. However, this shiny lightweight metal has a frightening dark side that is critically examined for the first time in this book. A hundred years ago, hardly anyone knew what to do with the most abundant metal in the Earth's crust. Today, aluminum is ubiquitous. Bioactive aluminum compounds are particularly popular in the cosmetics industry: in sunscreen, aluminum promotes even distribution. In deodorants, it reacts with skin cells, preventing them from sweating. Medications for heartburn often contain excessive amounts of aluminum. Two-thirds of all vaccines contain aluminum as an adjuvant. Many water treatment plants use aluminum compounds for clarification, delivering drinking water - with inevitable aluminum residues - to households. This stands in stark contrast to the careless use of aluminum in sensitive areas.

9. Ennsthaler Sibirien 1944 - 1948

The last days around Vitebsk turned into a tragedy for the soldiers of the 206th Infantry Division, many of whom fell, and the majority were taken into Russian captivity. My escape towards home failed, leading to captivity and deportation to Siberia. In this book, I recall the conditions of the camp, the work assignments of the prisoners, the daily struggle for survival, and the dream of a possible return home. I also reflect on how difficult it was for the victors, the poverty that prevailed among the population in Siberia, and how much they urged us for reconstruction. Many Russians sought compensation for the damages caused, and it was difficult for us behind the Ural Mountains to find signs of a possible return, which fortunately occurred in 1948. Sixty years after the end of the war, I found the courage, prompted by my children.

10. Ennsthaler Fräulein Vilma und ihr Josef

Detailed source research and precise scientific implementation: Eighteen letters from the front lines of World War II, along with a unique and extensive correspondence between Vilma and Josef from the immediate post-war period, serve as the starting point for personal life stories, embedded in social historical representations and interpretations. Themes of genealogy and biographical origins, a miniature of Steyr during the interwar period, and the depiction of the cosmos of Greater Vienna during the Nazi dictatorship are intertwined with reports on the material hardships of everyday life, the portrayal of a post-war romance, contemporary literary and musical worlds, questions of worldview and religion, character assessments of the father, and an entertaining narrative about the purchase of a radio. Written from a humanist perspective and in the spirit of antifascism, creatively designed with many original private photos, personal documents, and watercolors.
