You decide how to cut d. A safety knife that also performs as a cutter knife? The SECUBASE 383 can do both. Firstly, your cutting tool is equipped with automatic blade retraction to prevent cutting injuries. However, certain cutting applications work better with a fixed blade, including saw cutting. You can optionally lock the blade in seven different positions. This allows you to work efficiently.

Long blade exit: "Long" is actually an understatement: The blade exit is a maximum of 7.8 cm. This means you can use the SECUBASE 383 to cut 4-ply cardboard boxes, sack goods, paper webs and rolls, construction foam and polystyrene sheets safely and effortlessly.
Locking and retraction: If you want to use your SECUBASE 383 as a cutter knife, you have a choice of seven settings (cutting depths from 7 to 73 mm). Then release the lock again - and the blade retracts as usual.
Ergonomic handle: The SECUBASE 383 is ergonomically shaped to protect your hand. The slightly waisted handle feels very comfortable. Another proof of this is the slider, which is particularly easy to move thanks to the ramp.
For right and left: As supplied, the SECUBASE 383 is designed for right-handers. If you are left-handed, turn the blade once through 180° - and you too can get started. You operate the slider and lock with your thumb.
Easy blade change: To access the long, flexible blade, use the blue blade change button at the end of the handle. You can now pull out the inner part including the slider. The blade is held in position by two magnets.
