So if I understand correctly, the device can only be controlled with some kind of shareware from the manufacturer? I have been working with Adobe for as long as I can remember and surely this plotter can be used with Illustrator?
You have to export a suitable format into the Circut printing software (PNG, PDF and others).
Only with the Cricut software. But I create the images in Illustrator and then export them as png or the appropriate formats. And importing is no problem.
