Product details
Bumble and Bimble figure. These adorable creatures belong to the species of Hoptimists. The universe of these small wooden figures with funny springy heads was originally conceived in 1968 by Danish cabinetmaker Hans Gustav Ehrenreich, but production was halted after only about five years. In 2009, Lotte Steffensen revived the line under a specially created brand called Hoptimist, in the spirit of Ehrenreich: Their round, friendly facial shapes are meant to bring a smile to our faces, and their bouncing is intended to serve as a motivational aid, making the day a little brighter. The concept also includes that each Hoptimist, despite its different sizes and material variations, is assembled in a workshop for disabled individuals: First, we glue felt under the feet, then attach the spring to the base, and when the head is placed on top and we let go – that’s when they come to life. Baby Bimble figure. With eyes squeezed shut from laughter and a chubby nose, this little, wobbling companion made of colorful plastic encourages you to place your hands on your belly and laugh heartily while bouncing along.
