Designed by Matt Carr for the Canadian brand Umbra, this is not a ladder for climbing, but an airy storage solution for towels in the bathroom or jackets in the hallway. While the two sides are made of solid wood, the rungs are elegantly crafted from powder-coated steel. As is common with ladder constructions available from Umbra, the Leana Ladder Towel Rack or Coat Stand features overhanging rungs on one side: equipped with a round end cap as a stopper, the four overhangs serve perfectly as coat hooks. In the bathroom, guest towels, soap towels, and washcloths hang conveniently, while in the hallway, an umbrella or shopping bag can be stored, and in the kitchen, a small hand towel for drying hands. Both bath towels and rain jackets, as well as dish towels, dry perfectly on the rungs.
