The maximum recommended weight for a cat using this litter tray is 10 kg, with a minimum weight of 1.5 kg. It is not recommended for cats weighing less than 1.5 kg or kittens under 6 months.
This is unfortunately the case, depending on how much cat dust comes, the weight will change, I have 2 cats and after each cleaning I have to wait for them to go to update the weight. This is a negative point where I always have to adjust the app.
The interior space for the cat in the litter tray measures approximately 62 cm in width, 53.8 cm in length and 55.2 cm in height. These dimensions correspond to the total interior space available to the cat. The litter tray is suitable for cats from 6 months of age and a weight of at least 1.5 kg up to a maximum of 10 kg.

The Pura Max 2 is not ideal for large cats such as Maine Coons as it may not provide enough space. The recommended weight limit for use is a maximum of 10 kg, which may be too low for many Maine Coons.
Hi Ally, in the new version the leaks are simply covered with a good adhesive tape. You may also be able to seal the leaks in the old version in the same way.
The Petkit Pura Max 2 (self-cleaning litter tray) runs exclusively on electricity and not on battery power. It is operated with a mains adapter that requires a power supply of 12 V / 1 A.
You must reset the scale. Simply press and hold 🆗 when the start screen lights up until you hear a confirmation tone. It will then level the scales and sand. Then it should be correct again.
The "Pura Max 2 (Self-cleaning litter tray)" from Petkit is supplied with the following accessories:

Hello, we now only have the pet kit pura max. Everything works. But for a few days now, the sensor no longer works or doesn't work properly. The cats are only partially recognised, but what's worse is that the cleaning no longer works. Whether automatically after use or manually, it starts, shows "in cleaning" in the app, then stops and shows that there is a cat in the toilet. Then it only continues by pressing "ok" several times, often not at all and the toilet remains half turned for hours and the opening is closed.
We just don't know what to do, the sensor seems to be clean and free. Is there another one? So the whole thing makes relatively little sense.
The toi is freshly cleaned, properly assembled and the app works.
With the Petkit Pura Max 2, the app connection is actually mandatory. Without a connection to the app, neither the cleaning cycles can be started nor the manual clean button used.
Unfortunately, there is no real offline mode. The app is required for the initial set-up and saving the configuration. Only then do certain basic functions such as automatic cleaning after use run, but only once the device has been set up via the app.
If you don't want to permanently integrate the litter tray into your home network, you can set it up via a smartphone hotspot and then deactivate the Wi-Fi again. Alternatively, you can also set up a separate guest network just for the device.
Unfortunately, the Pura Max 2 does not work completely without an app and Wi-Fi.

As far as compatibility with a Maine Coon is concerned, the Pura Max 2 is not ideal for large cats. Even if your cat weighs less than 8 kg, this model is generally recommended for medium-sized cats and is not always suitable for larger breeds such as the Maine Coon due to tracking and comfort issues.
