The tap water flows through the filter cartridge by gravity, which contains a mixture of ion exchange resin and activated carbon. The result is soft, great-tasting water for pure enjoyment. At the same time, you protect your kitchen appliances such as kettles and coffee machines from limescale buildup. A new PerfectFit system with a valve guarantees that the BRITA MAXTRA+ filter cartridge sits optimally in the funnel, that all the water is reliably filtered, and that nothing bypasses the filter. The Marella XL features a "BRITA Memo" that indicates when the filter cartridge needs to be replaced. One filter cartridge is sufficient for 4 weeks or 100 liters.
