The weather sensor captures all relevant weather data and transmits it wirelessly, allowing you to have a complete overview of the current weather at any time in the Homematic IP app. The weather data can be displayed when operating through the Homematic IP Access Point via the Homematic IP app, but it can also be linked with other Homematic IP components, such as heating and air conditioning controls or roller shutter and awning controls. For example, you can automate your awning: it can extend automatically for shading in sunny weather or retract automatically in case of strong winds or rain. The integrated rain sensor detects not only the amount of rain but also the onset of rain.
