The smart card is only tracked when the Dreame F9 has successfully completed its "journey". What is important for the first trips, the flat should be completely cleared of everything you normally have there, if possible, so that these learning trips can also be completed. Since the Dreame F9 has a Time of Flight sensor at the top of the device (this is a light-sensitive camera that the robot uses to detect door frames, for example, which point upwards), it is also absolutely necessary that the flat it is to vacuum is well lit, because otherwise this sensor cannot be evaluated well, i.e. it does not work at all with this robot in the dark, it needs light.
An alternative would of course be the Dreame D9, which works with a LIDAR laser and can find its way around without any problems, even in a darkened room. But I don't know if the right of return still exists, it would be worth considering, because the robots with laser navigation are extremely reliable and accurate.
