We have a meat grinder for it. We also have a vegetable grater. But we never need it, because it's very complicated to grate.

Hi, I think so. I made a butter plait with 1 kg of flour today. The machine did it without any problems. It jerks a bit more than with 1/2 kg but I didn't notice any restriction in the performance.
