The anti-bacterial cartridge was originally reserved for the HU5931 model. Normally, spare parts can be ordered directly from the Philips homepage. The cartridge is no longer available online as it is apparently no longer needed. The best thing to do is to call Philips customer service. They may still have stocks.

This is exactly how it works. When the desired humidity has been reached, the humidification system switches off - the air purification continues to work. However, the fan is then automatically reduced in automatic mode. However, the ventilation level can be kept high manually. One more thing to mention: the humidification continues to run minimally even though the module is switched off, which can lead to a slow but steady increase in humidity in small or well-sealed rooms and to the target level being exceeded. This is my experience.

To purify the air, you don't actually need an air washer, but an air filter. This unit is a combination of humidifier and filter. When there is no water in the tank, the unit acts only as an air filter and the rotary wheel for the humidifying element stops turning. To date, I have not used the humidification function and am thrilled with the filter function. A similar device is the Philips AC4080/10, see comparison: https://www.galaxus.ch/de...
