Germany, it is beautiful and practical ...
Mine was fitted with a CH plug. Saftey Touch is probably the name given to the fact that you can always touch the outside of the kettle without burning your fingers. And the limescale filter at the spout is a "net" that holds back coarse pieces of limescale, but certainly not dissolved limescale.
Our kettle was delivered with a Swiss plug
The part is made of high-quality aluminium and glass, but it is also very heavy. The manufacturing is first-class, it doesn't look like something from China. The handling takes a little getting used to, it's just (too much) German engineering know-how, which means that the practicality, cleaning and price are compromised. The BMW of kettles... -:)
The descriptions of the two versions are quite chaotic everywhere. Personally, I can imagine that the price difference is due to the fact that the 1.3 L version is double-walled, which does not seem to be the case with the other one.
There's a few plastic pieces on the inside of the lid and around the filter, but the water doesn't touch them while boiling, only when pouring. I don't know about BPA, but event if the plastic contains it, the contamination should be pretty minimal I think.
Hi, Digitec has asked for help for you. The filter consists of a very fine metal mesh that is moulded into a plastic frame. The filter can be pulled out of the plastic holder. As described, the housing is double-walled and made entirely of stainless steel. The volume specification for the double-walled version is 1.3L (the single-walled version has 1.6L). The filling quantity is inside, but you can feel the filling in no time. I can recommend this product with a clear conscience.
Good evening, according to the description, the inner material is also stainless steel. However, the raw material here is only 18/10 stainless steel and not the well-known INOX (18/0) and so it is not 100% dishwasher safe and generally tends to form slight rust.
Yes, by means of the adapter supplied.
Yes, according to the manufacturer, made of "Schott Duran glass".
Capacity max. 1.3l, circumference container 45 cm, total height 26 cm, space requirement with spout and handle (width) 24 cm, older model unknown.
Absolutely, there is no contact with plastic.
It is made entirely of stainless steel and according to our information there should be no plastic parts inside that come into contact with water or steam.
I didn't measure it, but it's relatively short, about 50cm.
Yes, the limescale filter can be easily removed.
