I would definitely lean towards Dyson. We have both at home in direct comparison and Dyson does a much better job from my point of view.

Yes, that works well. However, if you want to update the Purifier with the latest firmware, you have to use the app. I have only updated the device myself, but it now runs without a cloud connection.
AliExpress. They are the same and cost half as much as here. And yes, they are the originals.
As far as I know, it only has a filter in it. The part is not designed for fragrances.

Yes, this is possible at any time. The description says 1x filter (see under specifications). The HEPA filter (there are three different ones as far as I know) can be ordered as an alternative. The MI Air also reports when the filter should be replaced.

As far as I understood after a short internet search, it only works with "some" Xiaomi hub. But I didn't investigate any further because I didn't want to have another device standing around.

Often low single-digit numbers, but that's normal for us at the moment. When we're cooking, we also like to have double-digit numbers. I haven't seen anything over 20 yet.

I don't know exactly. It was more plug and play and it worked. But maybe the answer to your question is related to the location query? Maybe it is important for the app where (region) your mobile logs in?
