With a tilting mechanism, the lid automatically opens when pouring and closes again when the carafe is set down. An integrated sieve keeps ice cubes, fruit pieces, or herbal additions back. The carafe fits into the beverage compartment of almost any standard refrigerator. Hand washing is essential. The Close-Up lid not only protects the contents of the carafe but also allows for drip-free pouring through a play of about 1 mm and an integrated plastic ball.
