The boiling tray does not dissolve (so far), but it does turn brown over time and has to be cleaned with limescale remover or similar. What is more annoying is that the chrome foil on the lid housing peels off over time. It no longer looks nice. What's more, the container itself doesn't stay shiny and silvery. On the other hand, the quality of the eggs is just right once you have determined the right amount of water.

The surface of the tub is not made of stainless steel but is coated, but this is negligible as the contents of the ice cream do not come into contact with it. Much more important is the very convincing desired result.

The outer pan, which is also labelled WMF, is made of stainless steel. WMF stands for Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik and is known for high-quality steel in catering and household appliances.
