The name Steel-O-Flex stands for cable locks with high flexibility and double security at Abus. The steel cable is surrounded by overlapping sleeves made of hardened steel, resembling a scale armor. This significantly increases resistance to attempts at forced entry, while only moderately increasing the weight and largely maintaining flexibility. The latter also allows for easy attachment of the vehicle to a fixed object.
