For children learning to ride a bike, weight is a critical factor. The Academy Grade 3 weighs just 5.5 kg, making it one of the lightest children's bikes on the market. Its low weight allows the Academy Grade to handle better in corners and makes it easier for young riders to accelerate and tackle inclines. With a lightweight bike, children also need less strength to get it moving. The low step-through height of the frame facilitates easy mounting and dismounting.
